Beyond The Grave

Crossing over, your essence starts to diminish
You step into a boat leading to nothingness
Ushers you to another existence
Where stars hang on a balance
Showing strange and unfamiliar corridor
Darkness, loneliness and nothing more.

Light flashes like thunder and lightning
And memories don't simply disappear
Trying to understand and grasp whatever is there
You feel cold and regret, wanting to come back
Leaving this place that is meant for slaves
Yet you cannot defy the force beyond your grave.

Out of the blue, a stranger comes
Screaming and conquering your whole being
Snatching your hand from this immortal plane
His strong arm carries your drifting spirit
With warm touch, indulges your longing breast
And sets you on a quiet beach to rest.

He says, "Welcome to my island of bliss
Where the wind brushes your hair
Ocean waves will bring joy that never cease
This is my home, do whatever you please."
With no hesitation and everything is done
You grab his hand and melt with him as one.
