I Will Never Be

You come to me as a storm
giving yourself like pouring rain
should I run?  will you ever stop?
a rushing river that's building up
soaking my innermost being
yet never drown me to ruin.

A great feeling of contentment
even if the season change
to regret, I will never be
cleansing me with each downpour
refusing to hide, drinking my wine
showing me nirvana, a drop at a time.

Now, let me show you my world
where clouds are tamed
riding them like winged beasts
flying above the green forests
beholding both the sun and the moon
forget the past, listen to my new tune.

As you perceive my strange world
open your mind, I ask
chanting "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo"
in your zazen, be my companion
watching you as time stand still
your desire, will you ever reveal?

Oh faithful stars, attend to me
shine your brightest
lead my friend to your quiet skies
wherever you guide this soul,
whom I dearly love, I surrender to thee
into repugnance, I will never be.
