To the resounding echo, you turn around
Noticing a figure in this hallowed ground
His gentle voice collapses your storm
The Mayan idol materializes to a human form
This familiar stranger appears to be lucid
Seems like you have know him for sure
Draw yourself to him, attracted by his stature
An extraordinary feeling you try to conceal
His eyes soothing your broken soul
Transforming, making yourself whole.
Still disoriented, to the royal warrior you ask,
"My lord, how may I repay your heroic task?"
Again he speaks, "Don't you remember me?
It is I," reminiscing the past he claims
"I was there, when my father set your frames
In the fullness of time, the supreme Being
Have place me here as your defense
Keeping your heart in its perfect essence
In tempestuous nights, visited your dreams
Chances to touch you as river streams."
"But ruthless companions had fooled you
Turning your heart into a heart of stone
Are you tired of fighting battles?
Please don't permit yourself to be alone
Abandoned your home to escape
Traveled thousand of miles with no cape
Unconsciously digging your own grave
Resentment has made you as its own slave
Please come with me, discern my plea
Strength, I give to conquer your raging sea."
Figuring out reality from fantasy
You step back with uncertainty
Unquestionably you don't want to go back
To the old place of torment and dishonesty
But how can you trust such an entity?
Will you allow yourself to fall and be broken
Leave your old life of depravity and pain
And open your heart without wings again?
This time, your protector touches your hand
A wonderful sensation in this enchanted land.
