1975 Dentonia Open Results

Golf history was made on April 23, when the three founding members teed off in the
inaugural Dentonia Open.  Geoff (the golfer formerly known as "Jeff") recorded the
first par in history, on the very first hole.  On that same hole John carded the first
double bogey. Bill achieved the first triple bogey, on the microscopic eighth.
It was not until a year later that John made the first birdie in Open history.

John pulled away from the pack with a consistent back nine, becoming the first
champion.  Next year he would repeat, and by virtue of several more victories
over the years, he would become known worldwide as "Mr. Dentonia".
