Howdy Fellow Commodore Users!
If you thought last month's meeting went by quickly, you were
right! I was preparing for a trek to Columbus Ohio to see the Rolling
Stones after our meeting. I'll let Mary do the honors on how good
they were on this tour. I'm sure she's more than happy to talk about
the Rolling Stones.
Here it is November, almost the end of the year. The leaves are
falling, finally as proof that fall is upon us. I for one plan to use
the time indoors to catch up on some of my Commodore projects that
have been put on the back burner during the summer. The 64HDD project
hasn't been touched since I last reported on it months ago. I have
yet to try the latest release of Wings, at least that is downloaded
and ready for me to try. My 128-D woes were all caused by a bad power
supply for my RamLink, thankfully an easy enough fix once I had the
time to confirm the problem and diagnose it fully. With that behind
me, I plan to continue on with my GEnie project with might be close
to 1/2 done. I am converting the multitude of floppies over to a Zip
Disk in order to donate the files to our library. So, we will have
two online service libraries at our disposal: Compuserve and GEnie.
I would like to use this moment to ask the Commodore community at
large. Is anyone aware of any place that can be accessible on the
internet, or available for purchase, the Commodore Libraries of the
online services of Delphi, and Qlink? I have heard mention it may be
available, but no definite leads have come forth. It would be
wonderful to have these libraries added to our collection as well.
I've seen some select collections, such as SID music, etc, but not
the entire collection. Surely someone has it, right?
Also within the end of the year, we may see limited distribution
of the CommodoreOne. If that happens, I'll have another Commodore
project to add to my seemingly never ending list of stuff to do.
Until next time: Keep on Commodoring!
