Howdy Fellow Commodore Users!
For the next 2 months (February and March), we will be meeting at
the downtown Cincinnati Library branch.
The meeting for the Cinciclassic was held last month, and we
discussed ideas on where the event should be held. It ranged from as
far north as the Union Center Boulevard Sheraton in West Chester, and
Kings Island, to as far south as the Drawbridge Inn in Florence
Kentucky, and several places in between. Places such as Dave and
Buster's in Springdale, Ohio, and Julian's, in Covington Kentucky. No
hands down favorite was chosen that night, but a lot of good places
were suggested, and could easily hold this event. Next planning
meeting is scheduled to be in March, so no new news until that time.
The date for the event may change from it's previous October, to
maybe September. Details on that I am sure will follow as the
planning continues.
According to the CommodoreOne Yahoo Group, a major hurdle has been
overcome. Here's the info from Jens Schönfeld on February 5th:
OK, let me clarify this: 30.000 gates can be really small if you
want to do all the things we had in mind. Jeri has found a way to
make the drive CPU a lot smaller, so size inside the 1k30 is not an
issue any more. I'm not sure what she wants to publish about that new
CPU concept, so please hang on for a few days. I'll be visiting her
next week, and we'll do some serious work and documentation sessions
on the C-One for a good two weeks. Don't expect regular news updates
during that time, but expect one big news update after I return to
Germany at the end of the month.
Something to look forward to at the LUCKI Expo this spring. Keep
on Commodoring!
