Howdy Fellow Commodore Users!
This month, my excitement will be peaked because of the expo in
Louisville at the end of this month. Are you planning to go? Would
you like to go, but can't afford the trip due to the escalating cost
of gas? Carpooling may be your answer, but we need to know that you
want to go before we leave.
Roger informed me that he is planning on staying the weekend, and
arriving in Louisville on Friday. My plans are currently subject to
change, I can comfortably fit 3 people in my car for the
approximately 2 hour drive to Louisville. At the moment, I am
planning to leave Saturday morning to arrive early enough to see the
doors open at 10am.
If you need directions to the event, let me know. I made the trip
to Louisville last month to check things out. The hotel is easy to
find, and you can see it from the freeway after crossing the
Kentucky/Indiana border.
Don't forget that we will have nomination of officers for the
upcoming term/election at this month's meeting. Ed Gase our Librarian
has been great in filling in for a newsletter editor, but we need
someone full time to take the office of newsletter editor. Ed has too
many hats that he has to wear! Just because we have one nomination
for an office doesn't mean you can't be nominated for the same
office. A close race can be exciting as we all saw at the national
elections last November. I think we have nominations for the other
offices (where is the secretary when you need her?). If you are
interested in being nominated and can't come to this month's meeting,
give one of the officers a call to let us know we can add you to the
nomination list. Our phone numbers are on the outside of this
newsletter.
See you at this month's meeting May 20th, don't forget next month
meeting is pushed to June 24th due to Father's Day on the third
Sunday. Keep on Commodoring!
