Howdy Fellow Commodorians!
I would like to thank all of those who volunteered for our
inventory project the first weekend of this month. It was a
tremendous project, but thanks to you all, we managed to get it
completed. Great Job!
Dig through your closets, and check on that piggy bank. Why? This
month is our annual swap meet on Sunday October 18th. If you have
some Commodore goodies collecting dust, now is the good time to sell
it for cash! Have a need for some Commodore goodies? You're sure to
find those items at our swap meet!
The monthly meeting will not take place this month, as we will all
be busy buying or selling. One thing I would like to mention that we
will be doing this year. There will be a drawing for a modem, but
what kind you might ask? It's a state of the art external 56,000bps
modem from US Robotics/3Com V.90 with built in Class I and II
capability (for those geoFax users) It currently retails for about
$150, so at the low price of a drawing ticket, you can be cruising
the Bulletin Boards or the Internet in break neck speeds. If you have
a C-64 or C-128, get with me on information on how to connect this to
your computer. For those with newer systems, this modem ready to plug
into your machine and go!
What would you like to see for a demo in the upcoming months?
Please get with Roger or myself on what you would like to see, or if
you would like to lead the demo yourself! Next month, we will be
demonstrating the Commodore Emulators on the non-Commodore machines.
See how our current library project will be implimented, and how
others with no Commodore equipment can benefit from this endeavor.
Also, be sure to visit us at the Computer Show in November, as the
4C's will be having a booth, promoting our club and selling some
stuff (if there is any left over from our swapmeet). Hope to see you
there!
