Howdy fellow Commodorians,
For those who went to the Computerfest in August, I hope you found
some bargains. For those who had money to burn and didn't find
anything to buy, don't forget our own Swap Meet will be coming up
soon.
It will be held in October, (next month for those who do not have
a calendar handy) during our usual scheduled meeting time.
I mentioned at the last meeting that the web page choices were
narrowing down for our club, and I am now proud to announce we have a
web-page. For those with internet access, the address is:
www.oocities.org/siliconvalley/grid/6412/
Currently, there isn't much to look at, because YOUR ideas have
yet to be included on the page. Let me know what you would like to
see, we have a lot of room to grow. Included with our web-page is
over 10 megabytes of space to include almost whatever we wish. In
order to get things set up, during the interim, I placed my
Presidentâs article from last monthâs newsletter on the
web. We can now say, we have a presence on the World Wide Web, and
Newsgroups at comp.sys.cbm with our monthly updates of items
available for sale from your club. One bonus I didn't expect from the
web-page, the Club now has an email address of it's own:
c64-128-amiga@oocities.com
I've been asked by several members, what kind of demos or hands on
training will take place at the next month's meeting. I would like to
hear some feed back on what you would like to see, or maybe even you
can be an instructor for the club. You might be the one person who
has massive knowledge on a program, within our club. Who better to
ask, than you? Elsewhere in this issue, Roger will be including a
listing of possible demos we can have. This has been successful at
other clubs, and we can plan ahead, if we get enough suggestions of
what people would like to see.
