OAK

Do you believe in Magic,
and the power of a word?
In the Shining Stars above,
and the living Earth below?

Beware Child,
those thoughts will change your world.

The Call of the Goddess is a powerful and scary thing. It's also an incredibly beautiful thing. When I first felt that call, I did my best to ignore it. After all Magic wasn't real. How long have I been "Pagan"? Like most, all my life, I just never knew what to call it. I first started to understand my beliefs and my connection to the Gods and the world when I was 17. I started to study Shamanism. When I went to University, I encountered a group of people who helped me to understand that Magic is a type of energy manipulation and that yes, Magic is real. I'll never be hurling lightening bolts from my fingers, but being able to see the way a flower grows is cool in it's own right.

I was never much for the 'trappings' of Paganism, until in 1997 while traveling through Ireland, I was given my Craftname. Craft Title, would be a better description. When that ended I came back to Toronto and decided that I was going to be a solitary practitioner. That was until I encountered Lady Aislinn and the people who formed Coven of the Mists. After spending the first Kaleidoscope Gathering with Branwen and Gwen, I knew I had found a place where I belonged.

Wheels turn, Paths change and our COTM became Caer Avalon. This is my home, my family and my Tribe. I'm Celtic, I'm Pagan and above all I'm a part of this crazy-wonderful collection of people called Caer Avalon. I'm proud to be walking this path with them.
