BLESSINGS OF THE SACRED WOOD

Along the path we travel, leaving the hillside to journey into the woods; into the first forest. It is here that we seek council from those that stand in silence, yet whose knowing spirits speak ages of wisdom. It is here that we find ourselves straying from the path, to offer our blessings to those of the Sacred Wood.

HAWTHORN

Ninefold Blessing of Hawthorn on you and yours;
May she shower you with star-flowers,
with beauty and the wild heart of the Greenwood Bower.

ELDER

Ninefold Blessing of Elder on you and yours;
May she carry you in dreams to the land of the Sidhe.

HAZEL

Ninefold Blessing of Hazel on you and yours;
For the fruit of Wisdom is a gift for all.

OAK

Ninefold blessings of Oak on you and yours;
May the door to your destiny always be open.

ASH

Ninefold Blessing of Ash be upon you;
For Honour is both weapon and shield.

ROWAN

Ninefold Blessing of Rowan on you and yours;
For the heart knows all, intuition your guide, hold fast to strength and be true to both.

WILLOW

Ninefold Blessing of Willow on you and yours;
May the enchantment of the Moon Tree bring you inspiration, peace and gentle nurturing.

YEW

The Ninefold blessing of Yew on all gathered here.
May the Tree of Renewal grant you hope and understanding that no ending happens without creating a new beginning.

APPLE

Ninefold Blessing of Apple on you and yours;
May she guide you to the Holy Isle of Avalon
and on all your journeys.

And so we have travelled, from beginning to end and back again, to receive and give back that which is so graciously given...
