As Good As It Gets (1998) Oscar-winning performances from Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt (and one overlooked but just as good from Greg Kinnear) provide the warmth in an otherwise spiky but enjoyable drama. Unfortunately, Kinnear's role as Nicholson's gay neighbour - pivotal in setting up the drama - becomes increasingly sidelined, and his plot thread left dangling.
