I. COTTON CANDY
(August 2005)
"Tell me something I don't know about you."
"Why?"
"Humor me."
"Alright." Thinking. "I love cotton candy."
"For shame! That's pure sugar."
"If you don't like my answers, I'm not playing anymore."
"Sorry."
"Your turn."
"I like roller coasters."
"Metal or wood?"
"Wood."
"Yeah, wood is good."
"Was that a joke?"
"Of course, steel is even better."
"I never knew you had a dirty mind."
"There are lots of things you don't know about me."
"Why do you think I wanted to play this game?"
"Curiosity?"
"Partly."
"Why else?"
"Because I want to know everything about you."
"I like cotton candy too."

ADDICTED
(August 2005)
"The nightie was very nice."
"WAS would be the correct term. It's in pieces!"
"I'm really sorry, Kathryn. I was starved for you after being on that three day mission."
She stared blankly at him for so long he felt the urge to look toward the ceiling and whistle.
"You expect me to believe," she said flatly, "that you were that...starved, after three days? When we waited four years to get together?"
"I can't help it." he answered, sounding rather pitiful. "I'm addicted to you."
She slowly smiled, pulled his face close and whispered, "Glad you made it home for dinner."
GUILTY PLEASURES
(August 2005)
Chakotay was awakened by Kathryn's fingers tracing his tattoo. Again. Without opening his eyes he smiled.
"Let's sleep in." she whispered.
"That doesn't sound like you, Kathryn." he said and opened his eyes as he pulled her firmly against him.
"We deserve it." she said poutingly.
Chakotay laughed and shook his head. "And what do you suppose the topic of conversation would be on the bridge, hell, the whole ship, if we both miss our duty shift?"
Kathryn frowned. "Killjoy."
"I have an idea." he said, "Meet me here at 1300."
"For lunch?" she asked.
"No. Dessert."

TIRED
(August 2005)
Kathryn rolled onto her back covering a yawn. Although Chakotay's back was to her she knew he was awake because the soft snoring had stopped.
"Time to get up." she said. A large brown hand came from under the covers and pulled her against the muscular back.
"Just a few more minutes." he groaned, snuggling deeper into his pillow.
"Why so tired?" she asked.
He heard the smile in her voice, felt it against his shoulder.
"You know damn well why." he said with mock firmness. "Do me a favor, Kathryn. Stay out of that Klingon sex manual."
