This is a cd review that I wrote for (Last Night We Were) The Delicious Wolves, which was originally published in my school newspaper. Diversity is key when it comes to (Last Night We Were) The Delicious Wolves, by Hawksley Workman. Workman releases this cd on the strength of his first single, Striptease, but if you're looking for a cd with songs that sound the same, you won't find it here. Each song is so different from the others that no song sounds alike. Potential hits from this album include: Jealous of Your Cigarette, Clever Not Beautiful, No Beginning No End, and Dirty and True. Workman is an incredibly talented individual, having self-produced both this album, and his debut, 1999's For Him and The Girls, as well as writing all the songs, and playing virtually every instrument. This cd received rave reviews from critics and music lovers alike, and is a must if you're searching from some eccentricity in your collection. |
