We (my sister and i) arrived at Kingswood Music Theatre just as Copyright took the stage. We tried to find our seats as quickly as possible, but the guy who told us where to sit directed us to the opposite end of where our seats actually were, so instead, we looked like morons as we walked around the entire theatre. Copyright put on a great show to the few people who were actually in the audience at the time. It was capped off with their latest single, Rock Machine, which brought a little more action to the audience.
treble charger took the stage next, (Rosie took the stage with a brand new hair-do - BLONDE!) and provided a totally energetic set. Unfortunately, the people sitting on our side of the stage were not into the show. My sister and i sang the words to every single song they played, while the people around us looked at us as though we were nuts. treble charger played mainly songs from their latest album, Wide Awake Bored, with a few of the singles from the previous albums.
Next up came Sloan. They began their set with Money City Maniacs, and had the entire audience on their feet. Sloan played most of their singles (except for Everything You've Done Wrong), and they mixed in a few songs from Navy Blues and Between the Bridges, and even played a new tune or two! (Once again, the audience on the right side of the stage wasn't very into sloan...) During their last song, Underwhelmed, Chris Murphy brought a girl from the audience on stage, and let her play bass for the song! :) lucky girl!
After waiting for a *long* time for the stage to be set up, the lights went down, and "K-I-C-K-A-S-S! THAT'S THE WAY WE SPELL SUCCESS!" was blared over the loudspeakers. Finally, MGB took the stage! I assumed that maybe our section would get more active as the headliners came out, but i was wrong...the guys in front of us barely moved a muscle during the entire show (i *hate* when people act like this during shows!). MGB played a lot of non-singles at the beginning of the set, and played lots of singles towards the middle and end of the set. Throughout their set, they brought different people sitting up front on stage, as dancers and back up singers, which was very cool. :) Their set was quite energetic, right until the very end. (I only wish they had played Fearless! My favourite MGB song!) back
