May 1995, Tod Bullet defeats River City Wrestling television champion, Mr. Pink (John Walker) to unify the titles. This was the last acknowledgement of the River City TV title. Aug 25, 1996, the title change took place on a North American All Star Wrestling card on a show which had Bill Dundee, Colorado Kid, Bart Sawyer also appearing. Feb 27, 1997, Chad Ripley is the recognized CWF junior heavyweight champion and unifies the titles upon his victory over J.T. Atlas. July 1997, the CWF title separates its own junior title when reigning Canadian Unified junior champion, Mike Myers, leaves the company. Sept 1997 - Power Pro Wrestling commissions a new belt for the Canadian Unified junior title, the belt which is currently worn today. You may note the Power Pro logo which still adorns the side plates. Mar 15, 1998, the CWF junior title is again unified with the Canadian junior title when Vance Nevada defeats CWF junior champion Bobby Collins to unify the titles. |
