I've lived in the Burlington/Hamilton area of Ontario since 1999. In that time, I have come across very little in the way of Pagan Socials. Sure, there's a Pub Moot every so often and the Wiccan Church of Canada is active in Hamilton but I've been looking for a casual, sit back and relax kind of social and haven't found any.
So, in April 2002, I posted a message on my two yahoo groups simply to see how many would be interested in more organized events. Say, a picnic, a hike, an open circle or two. Let's just say that it seems many in the Pagan community in this area have been waiting a long time for such a thing. I received dozens of responses. People were interested who had never met a fellow Pagan before. Numerous people came 'out of the woodwork' as it were to express their interest in attending any organized events.
So, I've decided to do just that. On May 11th, 2002 I organized Burlingtons first (as far as I know anyway! lol) Pagan Meet and Greet/Picnic. It was a huge success. Wonderful people, delicious food, fantastic children!
Needless to say, with that success, I am encouraged to organize more. And I will. On this page, you will find information on past events as well as pictures and descriptions of what took place, as well as details on upcoming events.
