Ian Stewart Fletcher AKA Arthur was born in 1976. He is a Sagittarius or a Fire Dragon in the Oriental system. As of May 2001, he is engaged to his fiance (obviously!) Helen, who is also a witch. They have a son, born in 2000, named Leif (he is such a cutie!) and another baby due August 2001. His mother is in the midst of exploring paganism and his father was a United pastor (lapsed). All other blood relations and attachments are Christian. He has yet to tell them. "It's not worth the argument."
Beginnings
"I was raised a Christian. My parents ran a church in Guelph but I never felt a connection to Jesus or Jehovah. I would pray devoutly but I did not feel His touch. It was empty and I knew it. This led to depression and despair as a teen and I embrace nihilism. (I don't recommend that path.) When I met Helen, she was already dabbling in Wicca and lent the The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. The pagan perspectives in there got me hooked and I next read Wicca for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham. It was like reading a book on the things you always believed and finding out that you were not along. More to the point, I was pagan before I was Pagan. |
