The British Legion A detachment of the Legion, numbering 222 men, are also stationed in the building foot of West Forty-ninth-street. They are a fine body of men, and are zealous for the cause which has called them together. Pressing applications to join this corps are being daily received from Boston and other cities, but their present limited accomodations would not justify them in augmenting their number to any great extent.
