Limblifter was formed by the Dahle brothers while still with Age of Electric. Their 1996 debut self titled album was recorded and released while AOE was on a bit of break. The album did well, in fact better than AOE's last album 'Make a Pest a Pet' which was released around the same time. Limblifter took advantage of the split-up of AOE to record their second album 'Balaclava' released in 2000. They have received plenty of air play thanks to 'Vicious', 'Tinfoil' and Screwed it Up' off the Self titled album and 'Aerial vs. Lotus' off Balaclava.
