Bio :

The Lowest of the Low had a tremendous impact on music in Canada during their brief existance. They took the Do-It-Yourself attitude and released their debut album by themselves, something unheard of a the time for a Canadian band. Up until Shakespeare...My Butt most bands didn't release full lenght albums until they got a record deal. All that being said tha album did very well both commercially and critically. It landed the band a major label deal. allbeit short lived, with LSD records. On that lable The Low released Hallucigenia, another fine album full of the same sharp lyrics and catchy tunes. The band unable to cope with success broke-up in 1993, and did a proper farewell tour in late 2000. The reunion and farewell tour play to 3 sell-out crowds in Buffalo, NY and 2 in Toronto. Since the demise of the band Ron Hawkins has gone on to form Ron Hawkins and the Rusty Nails who have release a few albums. Stephen and David have gone on to jobs outside the music industry, and John has become a sound engineer.
