FLAT GUTTERS
Will they help the game of candlepin bowling?
___________________________________________________________________________________________

I have talked with friends representing the ICBA. Without mentioning any names and getting deep into the subject, I will say that some members are for changing to FLAT GUTTERS and some are dead set against it.

I found out from the correct sources in the ICBA that there is NOT going to be a vote taken whether or not to go to the flat gutters this June at the Annual ICBA meeting. BUT there WILL be some major discussions on this matter though and a vote may happen NEXT June at the 2005 meeting after some trials and testing.

Now is your chance to be heard at the NEXT ICBA MEETING in June, 2004

I have been invited to attend the Annual ICBA meeting in June meeting on behalf of Brian's Bowlaway. While I am there I would like to see the bowlers side be heard on this issue.

I would be very interested to find out what the Canadian bowlers think of these conditions as many are bowling on them now. What changes do they really make? Are they as drastic as we all hear?

Is overexagerated scoring the way to go to improve our games appearance?  What do YOU think would bring more popularity to the game? Any other ideas or suggestions are welcome!

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

I am asking all of my friends and fellow bowlers (YOUTH LEAGUE BOWLERS TOO) to send me an email ( candlepincorner@yahoo.com) or an old fashioned letter stating YOUR VIEWS (good or bad) on going to FLAT GUTTERS.

I will print out and deliver EVERY letter I receive to the ICBA Meeting
as long as it is civil in discussion. (no foul language please)

If you can't email me then please send me a letter with your suggestions / ideas

Don't miss your chance to be heard!
PLEASE PASS THE WORD ALONG TO YOUR FRIENDS

* Please * don't post your replies on our candlepin forum. There isn't enough bandwidth there
AND I will delete any answer pertaining to these questions. WE don't need a war of words starting.
