The Poodle Pages
Note that while there are resources listed encompassing all sizes of Poodles, my focus is on the Standard, therefore inculding information specific to that size only.
Beauty and Brains... one of the most versatile breeds of dog there is. Not a description that brings to most minds the Poodle.  Unfortunately the breed has suffered stereotyping, as the public tends not to see past the hairdo's of show dogs.  However, Poodles can be found in nearly any activity and sport, from Obedience, Agility, Hunting, even Herding and Protection, to service fields like Search & Rescue, drug sniffing, and Assitance Dogs for the disabled.  And, of course, the breed remains one of the most popular companions in the country.  All this in a non-shedding package of numerable colors and choices of size, with hair to style in countless ways, or simply shave to show off that chiseled body.  Even the unscrupulous people breeding mutts (aka designer dogs) apparently think that for improved pups, simply add Poodle!  (Though a contemptible practice for separate discussion, it could be taken somewhat as a compliment.)
In conclusion, it could simply be said that the proper purebred Poodle is proven as perfect as possible.  ;-)
