Finally! I was able to finish my exams before Christmas, and go home and celebrate Christmas with my family at home in Norway.
Since Aud and family was celebrating Christmas in Spain, and Runar, Ragnhild and Jon Fredrik were spending it with her family in Sogndal, "only" mommy, sis Åse, Sebastian and me were at home this year…

We celebrate Christmas-eve, on the 24th of December.
Around noon we all sat down and had rice-pouridge, out of which we brougth some out to the barn for the "nisse" there. This is an old Norwegian "tradition", and since Sebastian was very much into "nisser" this year, we kept the old tradition. The pouridge disappeared, too…
Then, we all went to church around 2-3 pm. This year, there was no pastor there for the Christmas service, so mom was leading it. I had to step in and play the organ, and sis was helping mom do the service - so you can call it team-work…
At 5 pm we had dinner. We always have the traditional "pinnekjøtt" on X.mas eve, which is salted, dried ribs of lamb, which is then steamed on wooden sticks, from which it has gotten its name; "Stick-meat".
Afterwards we opened our gifts - Sebastian was very eager this year, and that made it so much fun for the rest of us. We try out every gift as we go along, so this takes time!

The pictures were taken before the tree fell… J
On the first day of Christmas, we celebrate American X-mas, with turkey and everything that goes with that.
The second day of Christmas we had the dinner that mom was used to as a child, which is rib of pork. As you probably understand - for us there is a lot of food involved in the celebration… J
We play a lot of games, and just relax and enjoy ourselves.
Well, that is how my Christmas at home was this year! I had a great time, even though I must admit I missed a certain someone at times…
