All Day -- Snack Bar. Have lunch at the Grange. 12:00 -- Billie Sue Hollingsworth Cannon Grange's very own, opens with Country Western melodies. 1:00 -- "Farmers Against the Crown" local band playing country western melodies 2:00 -- Alex Yan Magic Show 3:00 -- Watermelon Eating Contest. 3:30 -- Rubber Duck Race. (Benefits "Helping Hands" charity) 4:00-- Auction of fruit, vegetables, flowers, and baked goods from the exhibits. How to enter exhibits The main ingredient of the traditional agricultural fair is public participation. Enter your flowers, garden produce and crafts for the chance to win ribbons! Information can be downloaded from this page and you can obtain a hard copy premium book from the Grange, the Wilton Library and many local businesses. The entry form may be downloaded here and submitted by mail to Cannon Grange, P.O. Box 23, Wilton, Connecticut 06897 and must be received in the post office box by Friday August 22, 2008. You then bring the actual entry (exhibit) to the Grange Hall between 1 PM and 4 PM on Saturday August 23 (the day before the fair) or early (7:30 AM) Sunday the day of the fair August 24. You may also bring the entry form in person between 1 PM and 4 PM on August 23 the Saturday before the fair. Entry fee is $1.00 per item. Please enclose a cheque with your mail entry. Late entry forms are accepted the Sunday morning (no later than 8:30 AM) of the fair but please note in that case, the entry fee is doubled to $2.00 per item and we strongly request participants to submit by 4 PM Saturday.
