IMI - VER-2 / VER-4
Vertical Ejection Bomb Rack

[Picture]

The I.M.I designed two VER systems specially for the F-16 - the VER-2 and VER-4.

The VER (Vertical Ejector Rack) could be used alone or in combination, to enable the F-16 to carry and release 4,000 to 8,000 lbs of stores in several combinations.

When on Air-to-Ground mission, each VER-4, could carry four 1,000 lb (or smaller) stores, in two tandem pairs mounted on a rigid beam to which the ejector is attached.

The smaller Ver-2 is simmilar in construction, with two ejector units mounted side by side.

Top features of the VER-2 and VER-4 racks:

    • Special design for low aerodynamic drag
    • Elimination of "hung" stores for elimination of uncommanded release
    • Low maintenence required due to sealed-for-life hydraulic system.
(Guarantees 60 days or 150 firings before cleaning)
    • Uniqe Store Pitch Control -
Dual dependent, pistons enable either tail up, level, or tail down store ejections
    • High ejection velocity - VER ejector would eject 500 lb. stores twice as fast then TER ejectors - enssuring clean separation from aircraft.
    • Reliability - Dual cartridge compaired with single cartridge on TER ejectors
    • Store Arming - Utilizes state-of-the-art Zero Retention Force Arming Units
    • Optional Mil 1760 Capabilitty
    • Certified on Station 5
