Re Q1: I haven't found any reason to video tape
a screen yet, but it's not ruled out of the
possiblity. However, a printer for some
screens would be more desirable especially for
viewing lots of text. Some people have a
difficult time reading text on the TV screen
and get dizzy when scrolling. Taping to a VCR
wouldn't relieve this problem as much as
getting a hard copy.
Re Q4: I am not confident enough in the security of

were more examples of transaction security, I
would happily use the internet to shop till I
dropped.

it to yourself when you recive it save it then
when you want a site you can click on the

of course.
Re Q4: I'm a bit apprehensive about internet

from businesses that I have found on the net.
I get their name and address and send them a
check, never a credit card number, and I search
the Net just to see if there are companies that
sell what I want to buy (mostly cult-film
videos,cd,books)...

Real happy with it. If I get a busy on UUNET
(rare) it dials a 800 number and gets me in
that way. Your computer's ISP ain't gonna DO
that folks. Great service.
Tip: Try the Webtv Forum and Webtv Talk sites too.
But come back here and do Pete's survey every
week. It keeps him happy. He pouts otherwise.

Tip: I got stuck on the 'unable to reach WebTV....

GOWEBTV asked me to simulate a power outage by
unpluging for one minute and logging on again
as a "new number". This gets you to the POP via
the webtv 1-800 number. No toll charge and
since old number = new number the original
local routing is restored at the next log-on.
New number/same number query will not
appear on subsequent log-ons unless there is a
real power outage.
