Soon after arriving in Israel the Harvard literally
dove into the War Of Independence providing accurate close-air-support
(typically attacking from 60-70 degree dive). Additional aircraft were
purchased after the war and the Harvard served as an advanced trainer until
1961.
During the Sinai Campaign in 1956, the Harvard
returned to action against Egyptian
outposts and convoys.
