PARK PALEONTOLOGY

My name is Vince Santucci. I have worked as a National Park Ranger/Paleontologist at Badlands NP, Petrified Forest NP, Grand Canyon NP and Yellowstone NP.

My primary interest in paleontology is the preservation of fossils found on public lands. I am creating this web site as a means to educate the public in both paleontology and paleontological resource protection.

This site is constantly evolving. I will have more to say in a short while. For now I hope that you enjoy the Dinosaur Facts for Kids, PaleoScenes, and visit the National Park Sevice Fossil Parks Page.

If you have any links that you think are appropriate for this site, or any comments or suggestions, please feel free to email me at PARKPALEO@aol.com.

The first photo below shows me with some of my friends

I Recently Appeared on the NOVA Special

"The Curse of T. rex".

That Aired on February 25th on PBS.

"They are the most spectacular -- and rarest -- creatures ever to walk the earth. And they are for sale. In remote badlands, paleontologists have to compete with commercial fossil hunters to get at dinosaur bones. We follow the trail of legal and illegal fossil-dealing as the FBI tries to prevent the best Tyrannosaurus rex specimen ever found from winding up on the shelves of a souvenir shop."
