CAELUM
The Chisel
(Cae)

Generalities: it is a small southern constellation deprived of  bright stars. Its transit at midnight takes place at the beginning of December.

Origins and mythology: it was introduced in 1752 by Lacaille with the name of Caela Sculptoris. Obviously it doesn't have any links with mythological traditions.

Stars: the Chisel doesn't show any stars under  magnitude 4; the brightest star is alpha, of magnitude 4.45, of white-yellow color, which is about 65 light-years far.

Other objects: this small constellation doesn't show any particularly interesting objects
