The Little Horse
(Eql)



Generalities: it is a small northern constellation, deprived of  bright stars. It transits at midnight in  August.

Origins and mythology: although  it is deprived of bright stars and of objects of particular interest it was already defined by the ancients. It represents  Celeris, the colt given by Mercury to Castor.

Stars: the only star under magnitude 4 is Kitel Phard, (m=3.92), of white-yellow color, 150 light-years far.

Other objects: particularly interesting objects are not present.
