TRIANGULUM
The Triangle
(Tri)

Generalities: it is a small northern constellation, important for the presence of a famous galaxy. It doesn't contain any particularly bright stars. The Triangle transits at midnight in November.
Origins and mythology: this constellation belongs to the original ones defined by the ancients and its name is tied to the figure really formed by its main stars.
Stars: the Triangle has two stars under magnitude 4. They are the alpha (Metallah) of magnitude 3.41 and white-yellow color and the brightest beta of magnitude 3 and white color. The third star forming the triangle is the weakest, it is gamma, of magnitude 4.01.

Other objects: in the Triangle M33 is present, a famous galaxy, among the nearest ones. Its dimensions are inferior to the ones of the galaxy of Andromeda and the Milky Way, with which it belongs to the same group of galaxies: the Local Group. Its observation is not very easy if not under dark skies , since its light is scattered on a big surface.
