Knowledge and
Moslem’s Lifestyle – 5

Learning Self-Restraint of Ramadhan.
“(Fasting) for a fixed number of days; but if
any of you is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed number (should be made up) from
days later,
For those who can do it (with hardship), is a
ransom, the feeding of one that is indigent.
But he that will give more, of his own
freewill, it is better for him. And it is better for you that ye fast, if ye
only knew.”
(Al Baqarah 184).
We may learn Self-restraint from the wisdom of
Ramadhan fasting month.
A Guidance and Judgment between right and wrong
as the foundation of Moslem Lifestyle was sent down the month of Ramadhan,
The Al Qur’anul Karim is a guide to mankind, as
a clear Signs from the Creator of the whole Universe and above it, Allah swt.
Glorify Him, in that Allah has guided us, and
perchance we should be grateful,
Allah listens to the prayer of every suppliant
when we call on Him,
Let the Moslem with a will to listen to His call,
and believe on Him, that they may walk in the right way.

The Dignity of Sunnah.
'A'ishah, may Allah be pleased with her,
reported: Hamzah bin 'Amr Al-Aslami asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace be
upon him) about fasting on a journey, and he (the Holy Prophet) said: Fast if
you like and break it if you like. (Bukhari – Muslim).
What Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him)
said and did:
Firstly, Five Prayers during the day and night.
Upon this any other Prayer besides these,
obligatory?
He (the Holy Prophet) said: No, except that
which you observe voluntarily, out of your own free will;
And about fasting the month of Ramadhan. Any
other else fast besides this, obligatory?
He (the Holy Prophet) said: No, except that
which you observe out of your own free will.
About the Zakah, is it obliged to pay anything
else besides this?
He (the Holy Prophet) said: No, except that
which you pay voluntarily out of your own free will. (Bukhari-Muslim).
We would neither make any addition to this, nor
will we decrease anything out of it.
There is no single warning or guidance, due to
the ‘kaffah’ or holistic comprehensive Islam concept, Al Qur’an and As Sunnah,
Moslem’s way of life is a reflection of a
compact cohesive between foundation and the upper building, a nice harmony
between interior and home-appliances.We will be successful, if we are truthful
in what we affirm.

Listen to Rasulullah saw.
A man from the dwellers of the desert (the
Bedouin) came (to the Holy Prophet) and said:
“Muhammad, your messenger came to us and told
us that you claim that Allah had sent you (as a prophet)”.
He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: He told the
truth.
Who created the heaven? He replied: Allah.
Who created the earth? He replied: Allah.
Who raised these mountains and who created in
them whatever is created there? He replied: Allah.
Has Allah (in fact) sent you? He said: Yes.
Your messenger also told us that Five Prayers
(had been made) obligatory for us during the day and night. He remarked: He
told you the truth.
By Him Who sent you, is it Allah Who ordered
you about this (i.e. Prayers)? He said: Yes.
Your messenger told us that Zakah had been made
obligatory in our riches. He said: He has told the truth.
By Him Who sent you (as a prophet), is it Allah
Who ordered you about it (Zakah)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Yes.
Your messenger told us that it had been made
obligatory for us to fast every year during the month of Ramadhan. He said: He
has told the truth.
By Him Who sent you (as a prophet), is it Allah
Who ordered you about it (the fasting of Ramadhan)? He (the Holy Prophet) said:
Yes.
Your messenger also told us that Pilgrimage
(Hajj) to the House (of Ka'bah) had been made obligatory for whoever is able to
undertake the journey to it. He said: He has told the truth”.
The narrator said that he (the Bedouin) set off (at the conclusion of
this answer, but at the time of his departure) remarked: “By Him Who sent you
with the Truth, I would neither make any addition to them nor would I diminish
anything out of them”.
Upon this the Holy Prophet remarked: “If he
were truthful (to what he said) he must enter Paradise”. (Bukhari-Muslim)
Substitute any pride and vanity by low profile
and modesty, the impurities in heart by clean intention,
Reach out the dignity of worshipping, studying
and giving charity as the real commitment of pious Moslem,
Go on and straight ahead, following the path
toward His Ridho and Maghfirah,
Perseverance in patience and constancy,
strengthen each other and listen to Rasulullah saw carefully.
