Here's an example of how to read the logarithm tables. Let's assume that I
want to find the logarithm of 1.007. On the table below, I'll look for the
number 1.005 in the column on the left, and for 0.002 on top, because the sum of
these numbers is 1.007. Where those numbers intersect (like on a
multiplication table) is where the logarithm is - in this case, 0.00697561.
