A high performance setup!, for portable 56-mc work. On August 10th, 1935, W2MO of New Jersey, operating portable with 56-mc equipment, in his automobile on Garret Mountain, 550 feet above sea level, 'worked' many districts. The report says...."His vehicle fitted out with an 8-element directive array, being 4 half-wave antennas and 4 reflectors, supported on 4 x 20-foot bamboo poles, really does things!" (G.R.S. "Speculation is rife, concerning Marconi's rumored method of disabling airplane motors by a mysterious ray!
