RED ROCK CANYON
is another example of the natural beauty that surrounds Las Vegas.  When you get tired of gambling, just get on Charleston Avenue and head west, and in about 15 miles you will be there.  There is a $5 fee per vehicle to get in, but it's worth it (just 100 nickles!).

When you get there, the easiest way to see it is to simply drive the loop.  If you're into hiking, there are many places to park and head up the trails.  Make sure and take a bottle of water along with you, and dress appropriately for whatever season you happen to be there.

Below are some pictures of Red Rock.  I didn't have a camera with me when I went there (see, I told you I took Vegas for granted), so I had to snag these pix off other web sites.  I'm sorry I don't have credits for them, I was on a grab and run mission when I found them.  Make sure and click on the title link above for more details!
click on the pix for the big picture!
