1999 Central Kentucky ARRL Hamfest and Computer Show at National Guard Armory, adjacent to Lexington, KY airport.
Sponsored by Bluegrass Amateur Radio Society. From I-75 exit 115 follow signs to airport (KY 922 south 1.5 miles, New Circle west & south 4.6 miles to exit 5, Route 60 west 1.7 miles, turn south at traffic light). Take Man O' War south 1.3 miles, Parkers Mill west 1.2 miles, right onto Airport Road, left onto Armory grounds. Free parking. Admission $5 in advance, $6 at gate.
VE sessions, ARRL Forum, technical forums, commercial vendors, indoor fleamarket, refreshments in an air-conditioned handicapped-accessible building. Snake handling lessons available.
Outdoor fleamarket, powerline-safety demo, Cat hurling, special- event station outside. Midget wrestling, Kentucky Horse Park, museums, family activities nearby. Vendor setup Saturday 6pm-8pm & Sunday 6am-8am.
Tables $4/2 lineal feet if reserved before August 5, $6/2 lineal feet afterwards, 6 lineal foot minimum. E-mail/phone reservations confirmed upon receipt of payment. Tailgating free with admission.
