RECRUITMENT
SELECTION OF STUDENT OFFICERS TO ATTEND THE UNDERGRADUATE PILOT TRAINING IN THE PAF FLYING SCHOOL
AUTHORITY: Cir Nr 8, HPAF dtd 6 Dec 90.
Mandatory Requirements:
1. Any Regular Officer who is not more than 24 years old upon admission to the PAFFS.
2. Any Reserve Officer who is not more than 26 years old on the date of their admission to the PAFFS and must be a holder baccalaureate degree requiring at least of college study.
3. Candidate should be at least five (5) feet and four (4) inches in height.
4. Candidate must pass the medical and physical examination for flying training prescribed in AFPR F 161-121.
5. Of good moral character and with no police or court/ conviction records.
6. Screened and recommended by the PAF Acceptance Board.
7. Accepted and approved by CG, PAF.
Procedures
1. Once the quota for flying training has been determined by the CG, PAF, A-8 shall disseminate information to all units for them to submit the individual request of qualified and interested officers.
2. Basic request to undergo UPT in PAFFS will be addressed to the Commanding General, (Attn: A-8) who will then do the initial processing consolidation.
3. Those in the consolidated list will be directed to face the duly constituted Aviation Student Acceptance for Interview.
4. A-8 will cause those who passed the interview to undergo PE/NP Exam at PAFGH.
5. Based on the Results of the PE/NP Exams, the board will meet to come out with the first list and submits its proceedings to CG, PAF together with its recommendations.
6. Once the CG, PAF has approved the final list of officers to be admitted, A-1 will issue orders reassigning the qualified officers to 100TW to undergo UPT.
