Yippee!!!! Its clear again! A night with high clouds and a low comet, but I manged to find it and take some pictures!
1. 12 x 20 second exposures of Hale Bopp, taken through a Lumicon Swann Band filter have been combined to create this image. First Image taken at 00:59 using an SBIG ST8 CCD camera in medium resolution mode (18 micron pixels) Image taken through a 12 inch f5 Maksutov, field of view approximagely 0.3 degrees x 0.2 degrees
2. 12 x 20 second exposures of Hale Bopp, taken through a Lumicon Swann Band filter have been combined and processed using a rotational gradient filter, with rotation 10 degrees and amplification 10. Images obtained using 12 inch Maksutov, with SBIG ST8 CCD working in medium resolution mode (18 micron Pixels) .
3. 12 x 20 second exposures of Hale Bopp, taken through a Lumicon Swann Band filter have been combined and processed by subtracting 96% of a 20 x 20 median filtered version of each image from the original imae and averaging the 12 resulting images. Images obtained using 12 inch Maksutov, with SBIG ST8 CCD working in medium resolution mode (18 micron Pixels) .
