1. Comet Hale-Bopp looked wonderful in Orion on the 26th May 1997 at 6.05pm (AEST). The Comet is still a naked eye object but now best viewed in binoculars. Photo taken River Reserve Park at Ashmore on the Gold Coast in Queensland AUSTRALIA. I used a 70-210mm lens at 70mm, exposure time was 25 seconds on Kodak Gold 400 film. 2. Comet Hale-Bopp now in Orion on the 26th May 1997 at 6.28 pm (AEST). The Comet is still a naked eye object but best viewed with binoculars, this photo is as close to how you see it in a pair of 10x50 binoculars. Photo taken at River Reserve Park at Ashmore on the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia. I used a 70-210mm lens at 200mm and a 25 second exposure on Kodak Gold 400 film.
