The Bishop |
The Bishop moves in one direction at a time. It moves and captures diagonally any amount of squares
as long as no other piece blocks its path (the Bishop cannot leap over any pieces).
The Bishop captures the same way it moves. When it captures an enemy
piece it displaces that piece (occupies the square of the captured piece).
White's Bishop has 13 possible moves, indicated by dots.
