According to EAA records, there were a total 401 Ultralight Showplanes registered with 4,066 Air Traffic Movements in Paradise City (the name given to the Ultralight area). There were a total of 684,200 visitors at Sun n’ Fun. Pictured above is the pilot registration and briefing. Plans are underway to move Paradise City to a new location on property recently purchased by the airport. Although it will be further from the main runway, it should open additional flying time and space for the ultralights. Officials don’t expect the move to become effective until 2001.
