Code SINPO was adopted officially by the Consulting Commission the International of Radiocomunicaciones (CCIR) of the UIT (Union the International of Telecommunications) and it is made up of 5 digits that have the following meaning:
 

S	SIGNAL	One talks about the intensity of the signal, that is to say, if this one is listened to weak or strong.
I	INTERFERENCE	The word explains it, but he is advisable to indicate from where the interference comes, if of other adjacent transmitters or local factors such as electrical equipment.
N	NOISE	They are those that are from natural phenomena, like rays.
P	PROPAGATION	Cyclical fluctuation of the signal that is when one moves away or it approaches or certain effects of flashing.
O	OVERALL	Final Summary.

 

As it is seen, code SINPO is a subjective pattern that serves as it guides to make the valuation, by means of points, of each one of the digits indicated in the previous table. In the following table it is oriented on the valuation criteria.
 
 

 But we put several examples:

• SINPO: 55555 are equivalent to a reception in optimal quality, which is quite difficult in short wave.
• SINPO: 22322 would be a bad reception although the noise is moderate.
• SINPO: 52344 would be a real example of how an incorrect evaluation becomes because it settles down like principle that the value of the summary never can surpass to no of the remaining digits, mainly to the one of the interference. Therefore the correct SINPO would be 52342.
