This is a great job you have done here. The Marias is also a favorite of mine also. I have been thur there a few times, also spent time watching trains at both East and West Glacier. Do a lot of camping with my wife at both Glacier and Waterton. I model H scale with a transition theme of the DAR, a branch of the CPR in Nova Scotia near where I grew up. Thanks for sharing all this info. My wife and I were to Colorado this last fall, she had gave me tickets to the Durango & Silverton For Christmas, also went on the Cripple Creek up Pikes Peak, to the Colorado Railroad Museam, stopped and saw the Georgetown loop, Stopped at Leadville and viewed the locos and cars and got some shots of the Royal Gorge passanger train in its first year of operation. It was a won erful trip. The Durango Yards were great. The train ride was perfect up to Silverton, a sunny fall day, on Oct. 7th. I live in Calgary, and also make the rounds to CP, & CN, on a regular basis, also get to some of the model shows. Thanks again

Nice site, I lived and worked in St. Thomas in 1975 till 80, a friend lived on Wellington St. I can remember insulating his attic and finding an inch layer of coal dust/soot on everthing. Locally where I now live we used to have the well known Hoggs Bay T estle (Port McNicol, On.) unfortunately it was disassembled 20 yrs ago. Another line which interests me greatly is Booth's Arnprior & Parry Sound, through Algonquin Provincial Park. It was the busiest railway in Canada in 1918. Enough for now, keep rhe ph tos coming. Hey Steve great site! I live a little ways north of you in Carstairs and I'm glad to see that someone else is taking pics of CP on the Red Deer sub. I agree with your views on the CN crews in Calgary - much nicer than CP's. One day an employee of CN invit d me to take a look inside the cab of a brand new SD70! Keep up the good work!
