My boys and I love going to the Toledo Zoo. Most of the animals are easily seen by kids and they have many hands-on exhibits.

I was surprised how close we got to many of the animals. These meerkats were only a few feet away from us (probably looking for handouts) and I thought this starling was going to jump on my camera.

We spent a lot of time in the aviary this year. The hornbill behind chain link was tossing nuts into its mouth. I think the desert picture was supposed to be of a roadrunner. I can't find it, but the terrarium still looks cool.
