Dear [Customer's name]:
Thank you for your recent letter regarding the performance of your Carrier 58SXC080101GG furnace. I
am sorry to learn you have been experiencing a problem with your unit.
Carrier is a manufacturer only of heating and air conditioning equipment. We
must rely on local dealers to design, install, and service each particular system. I have
discussed the situation you have called to our attention with our service manager, Mr. Ron Facchina
at Automatic Equipment Sales of Washington. Mr. Facchina has informed me
that your dealer has followed his recommendations and also has not charged you
for any repairs at this point. Unfortunately, it is not Carrier's policy to extend
a warranty contract beyond the normal time frame, therefore, your request for an
extension on your warranty is respectfully denied.
Although we are confident the situation has been pinpointed, I do understand your frustrations
and concerns, therefore, I am keeping your letter on file as well as the additional information
Mr. Facchina has provided. In the event you experience another problem
with your Carrier furnace in the future, please contact me directly. I have listed my telephone
number below for your convenience.
Sincerely,
Susan Piwinski
