I heard on the news the other night that a prisoner is going to sue the state because he did not feel that he was protected during a riot that occured at the prison. The worst thing is that the state settled out of court without even fighting it. This seems like another stupid exuse for lawyers to make money. This country has gone lawsuit happy and these obsurd legal actions are occuring more and more often.

Nobody claims responsibility for what they do (save on the rare exeption). The problem is always somebody else's fault. It was McDonald's fault that I put the hot coffee between my legs and it spilled. How was McDonald's responsible for that. I think that she was confronted by a lawyer and made to realize that she could make a lot of money off of this.

Another gentleman has attempted to sue the Mars M&M Company and the local drug store where he bought the candy for knowingly putting a peanut M&M in with a regular M&M. He bit his lip when he came across the peanut and experienced a great deal of pain. How did the store know that there was a peanut M&M in the regular bag unless they were to examine each bag? Where is the evidence? Didn't he eat the evidence? Such evidence could easily be forged. Then that begs the question, "What about the other times that he has attempted to sue companies for stupid reasons. Incidentally this gentleman has been known to attempt to sue other companies.

Unfortunately, people have become too money hungry in this country, and the excuse of circumstances is now being exploited to its full potential. With political correctness at its finest nobody needs to take responsibility for what that person has done. We can blame it on the company that made the company that made the product that we miss used.

In the words of Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along?" Don't people realize that lawsuits drive the cost of a product up? These companies have to get the money from somewhere. It usually comes from the people who buy the product.
