Yesterday John Glenn made his "triumphant" return to Earth after he spent about 2 weeks in space, but why did he take off just one week before the elections? Why would Clinton remark that he was a great man and a democrat and you should vote for democrats like him? I think that it was a cheap political stunt in order to get the democrats into office. Why else would he shorten his last term to go into space? He could have waited until January when his term was finished. he was even deemed unfit to be put under one of the tests that he was scheduled to take part in. I am not sure of the details of that test.

Clinton's statement makes the intent of the voyage very clear. He wanted people to forget about Monica and start thinking about decent democrats unlike the ones that were running. Not that I was particularly fond of the Senator's record in Congress. The media is trying to tell us that the Republicans did not do very this term because the Americans do not want to see Slick Willy to be impeached, and that the republicans did not have a plan this year. The republicans did not show a very strong plan to the American people, but they still lost right at the end when Glenn went into space. This move was bold and very well timed to give the dummycraps a slight push to even things up.
