We have just finished up another year and the business of the "Holidays." Furbies are now $30 again, and adults somehow find themselves completely stressed out. They find themselves asking, "Why don't the holidays seem as enjoyable as they did when we were kids?" Perhaps because when you were kids it was Christmas and New Years not the holidays. We have forgotten the reason why we celebrate the holidays, and in an effort to become poliically correct, the powers that be have decided to group Chanukah, Christmas, Kwanza, and New Year's as the holidays. By doing this they have covered up the reason for celebrating these holidays. Now parents have to spoil their kids by paying $300 for a toy that costs $30 normally, but some corporate guru has limited the supply so that they will have the most popular toy. For all you idiots that overpayed, puched, kicked, or bit someone so that you could get one for your child then you should be ashamed of yourself. Tomorrow they will be falling off the shelves and nobody will want them, but your kid just couldn't wait until their birthday to get one.

Whichever of the above mentioned holiday you may celebrate, remember what the holiday is all about before you decide to go and try to hunt down that toy that the brat is begging for. The reasons for all these holidays is not to go broke, try to pretend like you like your relatives, and get drunk. They have a much deeper meaning than that, and if you would take the time to think about them then you might actually be able to enjoy them once again.
