I saw on the news last night that some lady is knitting sweaters for penguins. You may be wondering, "Why would penguins need sweaters?" The answer is simple they don't. This woman is wasting her time knitting sweaters for poor penguins that get themselves covered in oil. First of, if you can catch the birds to put sweaters on them, then you can clean them properly and not need the sweaters. She just another idealistic liberal with good intentions, but her effort will probably get no results.
Let's face it, the little things will more than likely suffer some problems with social interactions between the birds. Most penguins are monogamous so they may have problems breeding this season. If that is the case then you may as well have let them die. It also does not get to the root of the problem. We really need to clean the birds and let them go. Another of the ideas behind the sweater was that it would prevent them from ingesting the toxic oil from off of their feathers. My question is: Don't you think that the birds will just pick at teh sweaters destroying them because they find it unnatural and therefore uncomfortable.
I cannot see that there are really that many benefits to these sweaters. Why not knit sweaters for sheared sheep? This is another rediculous animal rights wacko trying to save some poor helpless little birds that will probably be harmed by her interactions. I would also like to know who is paying for this. Who actually thought that it would be a good idea to fund such a project? I hope that she is or some other worthless environmental wacko organization. I love peguins just as much as the next guy, but I cannot see the point in such a silly crusade.
